I really can't answer that but was wondering what your disability is and did you have a attorney after first denial?I applied in March and was told I would not hear anything until July.
Pray that someone can help you and you get payment soon It is really hard with no income I lost my job as I have not been able to work since Aug. of 2002
Best of luck to you

Elaine-Looking at what you are going through, I know I'm not as bad off as you! But I do know some of the pain meds that you are on, personally. I was denied three times before getting a lawyer and seeing a judge. I had a difficult time talking about my disability, and having a lawyer was a God send for me. He said if I had contacted him earlier, I would have gotten it sooner. The state I live in seems to get things done a little quicker than most I heard about. I had my denials within 3 months each time. The judge contacted me after about 2 1/2 weeks. Good Luck to you.

Chantra~

I received my full award in '88, so the details are a little fuzzy. It seems to me that I received my first check within 3 months, at least. I wish I could give you a clearer answer. I've heard of it taking longer as well as shorter. If I can find my paperwork on that, I'll post again.

I know it's hard being in 'limbo' financially, but keep in mind that you'll be paid retroactively, which should give you a good boost toward getting out of the hole.

Take Care,

~Teri

Magtize -

Forget neurontin, go with Topomax. Take it with plenty of water to prevent constipation. I did notice some dizziness with Neurontin, but my main side effect was weight gain.

It took me 2 yrs to recieve SSI and I figure it will take me as long to be put on Disability. So we get to play the wait and see and stall game all over again lol.
