Spencer is soooooooo cute! (Random strangers stop and comment on how cute he is - no joke!)
He loves to practice standing and sitting up. Plus, we've started the "flying baby" thing - holding him up in the air above your head. He just smiles the biggest smiles when we do this. His whole mouth is wide open when he's having fun.
Also, he's a very good conversationalist. He loves to say "ah-woo" and "ah-goo" and "gagaga." He's already repeating sounds that we make, and he'll "talk" for 10-15 minutes. It's the cutest thing!
When he wakes up and sees me, he's just so excited, and that melts my heart every time. I love to see him with Daddy when he gets home from work! DH holds him and as soon as Spencer recognizes who's got him, he just grins and grins.
He is SO close to laughing - we've gotten a couple of tiny giggles over the last few days, but nothing too big. I can't wait!

 Love the thread Weepy, it's so sweet! Joshua is 9 months old today and he melts our hearts more and more each day. I'll share some of our most recent adorable moments. The other day, my oldest 2 were playing in the basement and Joshua had seen them go down there and could hear them playing. He crawled over to the basement door and started pushing the cat door flap in and cooing. Well, I guess my (almost) 5 year old heard him and he came up the steps and pushed open the cat flap and said "Hello Joshua" and Joshua almost fell over he was laughing so hard. :D It was the CUTEST thing! He thought that was the grandest thing in the world that his brother was in that little flap, he sees the kitty going in and out of it all the time, but he'd never seen Blake's face on the other side of it. LOL Both of our older boys are very loving and protective of their baby brother and THAT is a heart melter itself, but Blake asked me the other day if he could hold HIS baby. So sweet. Joshua is a great eater too, he is so funny when he really likes what he is eating and starts going, "um gum um yum um" while he's eating it. I hope this made you smile, it sure made me smile typing it. :) Thanks for the thread!!

LOL Weepy, it's so amazing isn't it? I love my son more then life itself.
He's learning to sit up on his own for short amount of time (still hasn't rolled over yet either)!!
Like to sit in his highchair while we eat dinner and talk LOL.
The way he smiles at me in the morning, or even at his ONE night time feeding when I pick him up.
He's going to bed at 7pm and waking up once for a bottle then sleeping till 8 or 9. Giving daddy and I time alone for once.
He also does the superman thing, but I call it "Super Mac" and he'll land on my tummy (I'll lay on the floor and do it) and say "Im king of the world!!"
He's learned how to hug and somewhat give open mouth cheek kisses. We do "Mommie kisses" and he kisses my cheek and then I do "Baby kisses" and give him tons of kisses.
People comment on how handsome he is and how well behaved and well tempered he is. He even smiles at his FIRST STRANGER the other day!!
He's taking big boy baths now, in the big boy tub and kicks through the whole bath!!
When he eats he says "mmmm" bc he like his father and LOVES his veggies wayy to much LOL.
I NEVER want him to grow up. I can't believe he is five months old today:-(

isn't it funny. i remember being one of those who said "look at that crazy lady talking to her baby like that or making that face in public or talking nonstop about what their baby could do" now i am that crazy lady. i catch people looking at me as i'm singing Old McDonald through walmart to keep the little one happy. and i even catch myself telling people in the checkout line my baby's latest achievement. Isn't it amazing what you do for your babies and how much you love them. i have 2. both boys. age 4 and 1. and they are my life, my everything. i have changed the way i look at other crazy moms, i look at them and grin while thinking they have that feeling and love too.
i also said i would never be a mom that open food products in the store, that my child would have to wait until we got to the car. i think the only people who say that are people who don't have children. :) i have paid for many empty packages. :)
Thank you for starting this thread. in the world today you see so much pain, children with out parents, and parents leaving children, etc. It does make me grin when i read about the love parents have for their children.
thanks again. ;)

Good thread! DD will be 11 months in less than a week.
1. We were walking out of Walmart the other day...just paid for my stuff and walking up across the front of the store past all the cash registers. I was carrying DD. She was fascinated by all the people. She squealed really loud and for a long time...and waved (the queen wave) at all the people as we walked out. I saw 3 people actually wave back.
2. DD is on whole milk now. I heat up the milk in the microwave. DD has learned how to shut the microwave door. Not exciting to regular folks, but to me it's a little routine I live for each day.
3. DD is starting to hum when she hears music. Sooooo cute.
4. It's so cute when she passes gas because she has no idea of the social expectations associated with passing gas. She just goes about her business like nothing happenned.
5. I put pigtails in DD's hair yesterday for the first time. Adorable!

That's a source of entertainment around here too. We were at breakfast the other morning and she started grunting like she was about to fill her britches. I was nearly in hysterics because the people next to us were practically hiding behind their menu. I tried to get her out of the eating area as soon as possible, and luckily, when the bomb dropped I was walking past a family with a baby around the same age. I don't know why, but it cracks me up. Gotta love baby toilet humor.
Her giggles are also the best thing in the world. Hands down. I also love how she rolls over and nuzzles her head up onto my boob like a pillow, then stretches her arm out so she's touching me.
But best of all, is just how she selflessly loves back. I can't wait to come home even after grocery shopping, and I still shoot milk at just the thought of her. It's pretty funny.

shutting the microwave is a big thing.
mine, 1 on july 15 love to turn off the lights, and that is something we do several times a day.
He is into dancing, any time he hears music, even just humming, he starts swaying. and will do it until the music is off. the other day we ate at a local mexican restaurant and he danced the entire meal. i couldn't quit laughing, he would take a bite and then contine dancing. by the time we left he was so tired. he was asleep by the time we got out of the drive way. my goodness, he had been dancing for an hour. :)
pig tails, cute, how precious. i can't wait. i have 2 boys (4 and 1) We plan to try one more time for a girl. I love my boys and wouldn't trade them for anything, but a girl would complete our family.

Yes, this is a good thread. Hope they don't take it away like they did with the month boards.
I love it when DD 'dances' along to singing or music (she sort of bounces).
I love the smiles and the giggles, especially first thing in the morning. I never used to be a morning person but a big smile and a cuddle from DD really makes my day.
I love it when I feed her something she really likes and she can't wait to get it in her mouth. She eats lots of veggies (like her Daddy) but her current favourites are bread and tomatoes.
I love just being a Mommy. Wish I didn't have to go to work, but I really do think she enjoys the variety of going to different places every day, and she's always pleased to see me when I pick her up.
Amy also isn't aware of the social niceties so she likes to blow loud raspberries (I think she's going to be a trumpet player when she grows up!). I try not to laugh when she does it during meals, but it's difficult to keep a straight face when she puts her heart and soul into it.

I really needed a pick me up this afternoon and this thread did just that!
Mine is going to be 11 months in 8 days and she is so much fun.
I love it when she dances too. The other day she was sleeping at my MIL's house and all of a sudden her favorite song was on the radio so she woke up, danced to the beat and then fell asleep again. It was so funny.
I love how when she wakes up in the middle of the night she sits in the corner of her crib waiting to be discovered. She doesn't cry everytime so I have a habit of checking up on her.
Her big smile and big eyes when she sees me after work and the way she kisses are the best. She doesn't know that when we kiss someone we close our mouth. When I say 'give mama a kiss' she opens her mouth wide and plops it on my face. Its adorable and she is so proud of it!

Oh I like the positve threads too.
DD (13 months) loves to talk on the phone and will just say Hi over and over then kiss the reciever. She will also put her hand to her ear and say HI!! if anyone in public is talking on their cell. She is not limited to her hand though if she gets her little fingers on any remote control or calculator thats a phone too.
Everytime we put her in the bathtub or pool she sits on her bum, leans foward and splashes like crazy. Her position has earned her the nickname Schroeder (the little piano playing kid from Charlie Brown). She is too funny.

My favorite thing about Gabe (3 mos 1 week old) is how he smiles. He smiles so big with his mouth wide open and he has the most adorable dimples. He also smiles a lot at people he doesn't know especially older men. We were at my grandmothers 80th birthday party last week and Gabe was just so engaged in all the old people that were there. He also searted to laugh a few weeks ago. We play a game where I will sau Hi to him and then he will smile and go awaww and ''talk'' to me. He mimicks really well. He sleeps usually 7-4 or 5 and then eats and goes back to sleep til 8 or 9. So, he is a really good baby and never fusses when he wakes up at night. He'll just eat for 10 min and fall right back. Although he doesn't really like to nap much durring the day.

I love it when my kids are crawling all over me and giggling when I lay down on the floor. They think it's a riot to "attack" mommy.
DD (17 months) sits in the back seat and says "wheeee" for the first few minutes of every car ride.
I love that DD "sings" all day long. When she's just hanging out she hums and sings to herself, off key, it's so sweet.
And finally, being able to fix anything by just scooping them up, holding them tight and whispering "it's ok" into their ears. Being their hero makes me smile.

Yesterday we got a couple of super-cute moments. DH was holding Spencer as he was falling asleep for a nap. Spencer got a grip on one of Daddy's fingers (kind of by accident), and then very deliberately reached out and grabbed another finger. It was so cute! I had to take a picture.
Last night, right before bed, Spencer laughed! Thankfully, Daddy was there too. It was the cutest sound ever.
