I was just wondering how old you need to be before you can receive dissabilty insurance. I was thinking in terms of my 11 year old son.

hi,new to this board,i usually hang out @ the neuro. board. The child has to be 1 year old to get ssi. I know because i signed my son up when he turned one and they paid back to the when we finally got the 1st payment in april for march since he didn't turn 1 till the last day of feb.
If you plan on applying, get the medical records from the doctors yourself ,this is what i did and it was what got the approval so fast.
