Ok here is my question I had progesterone levels done Monday 8/31 CD22 5 DPO (bbt chart O'ed on July 26 day 17). The nurse called today she acted alittle concern about my numbers and had to talk to the doctor she did say I Ovulated :blob_fire(first time in a year)! My numbers was 14.2 I have been reading on the net and found some post that says that your progesterone levels could indicate pregnacy is this true? If so what does mine say. I have found some that says yeah and mine are higher than some pregnant women being it was taking 5 DPO and some say it is just a normal level. I am so  any help I would be so THANKFULL! I just think I have my hopes up seeing my temps climbing higher every morning and maybe I am just wishfull thinking.

Hi there.

I'm definitely no expert, but here's what I've been told. A post-O day prog. level can prove whether or not you did in fact ovulate. And I do believe your numbers are good. It also can give you an idea of what kind of uterine environment you have in case of a pendng pg. It can tell whether the lining is suffucient for implantation. So I would say this looks good. Why is the nurse concerned? 14 is fine, and even when I was 4 wks pg mine was 15 and I was told that was normal. I don't know whether these numbers suggest a pregnancy yet, as I think prog. is supposed to stay high at least until 1-2 days before AF. But then again, I'm no expert. Here's hoping this is your month, you can take relief in knowing your body is preparing for your bean! :)

Thanks for the reply I have no clue of why the nurse acted like she did. I paced the floor for 45 mins till she called me back and told me that I did O I swear you would of thought I was waiting on the results to see if I was PG I was so nervous. But if I am not pg I am happy I did O and you have to do first things first and me O'ing it the start. I found a site that said that my 5dpo levels should not be that high but I don't know only time will tell! I am now on CD 25 dpo 8.:D
