My Kayla-Wayla has poor muscle tone and goes to therapy twice a week. Her therapists said that they find out new things about muscle tone on the internet everyday. So if anyone out there thinks they may have some info that I can use, please respond. Thanks.

My Lindsay-Bear also has poor muscle tone. She will be 3 in April and still isn't walking. Her therapist has been working with her since she was just a couple of months old and says she is making steady progress. Her muscle tone improved slowly from the neck down and her ankles seem to be the weakest now. Just keep working with Kayla, she'll get there.

I agree, she will get there with your help. My abigail had lower muscle tone at birth and didn't sit up for 7 months but now she is like an average 2 year old so she has been very fortunate. However I have a friend who's daughter also has very low muscle tone but they are working with her every week and she is very much improving with their help!Don't worry she will get there :-)

Audrey is seven and started taking gymnastics when she was about 2. We did a mommy and me class at first until she was able to do it on her own. She usually takes classes with typical kids who are a bit younger than her. Over one summer she made such a dramatic improvement that she was dropped from physical therapy. Didn't need it anymore!
