I take Zegerid powder form its a PPI,not sure if anyone here has tryed it,works fast..Really its just Prliosec and Baking Soda mixed with other stuff..I pill form is supposed to be just as strong,I ran out of Powder,and took the Pill and woke up feeling sick,and had Heartburn..Anybody know if there is a diffrence??

I have been using the pill, its been good to me. I take it just half hour before bedtime. never take the powder form.

Did the pill work after the first day or what??

I have been using it for 2 months now, so far it is the best one for me, I tried all the rest. as I said , I never try the powder, so I can't compare which one is better.

I use the pill form. My normal PPI therapy is 2 Nexium per morning, but I"ll use 1 capsule of Zegrid at night for breakthough syptoms.

Happily, I also discovered it is just as effective as Nexium if I take it as a double dose in the morning. (Nice to know I have options).

The only thing I've noticed is that I feel a little more dried out after a dose of Zegrid than I do with a dose of Nexium.

did the pill work the first day you take it??

What so important about the first day result? why not try a few days and see if the pill work for you or not. unless I miss your point.

Yeah, the zegerid pill worked the first time I tried it - but I was already under very good control from the Nexium. (i didn't have any major erosions to get rid of - just breakthrough symptoms). I admit I tried the Zegereid because my doctor gave me a batch of free samples - but it did exactly what she said it would.

Well im trying to heal,and usually I can tell pretty quickly if a PPPi will work,after a ahwile I get immune to them..Breakthrough symptoms..

I took zegerid powder once in the am,and once at night and still woke up with in my throat and felt not good after being up so far..

The pill seemed like when I tryed it I woke up on fire in my troat..Than I tried in the am,and it didnt seem to do much..

Really all its otc Prilosec,and baking soda..Nothing fancy..

I take the Pill, and it works great for night time reflux. I love it. TAke Prilosec during the am.
