Hi everyone
I just wanted to share the fact that I was afraid to talk with a girl with downs syndrome in my daughters class, why I guess I just didn't feel comfortable. I am a very friendly compassionate person , so I just don't even know why, other then I guess I was a coward.
However we had a big family reunion and I meet my cousin Sara, who I never even knew exsisted. She is 17 and has Downs syndrome. Well she approached me to show me her graduation pictures from high school and I was so thrilled I found a new best friend. I will no longer be afraid again. She is the cutiest, friendliest and will be in my heart for ever.
