Does anyone out there have their child on medication for add/adhd? If so what age did you start the medication, has their been an improvement in attention span, school work, etc. Our son is 5 and has just started school, and already we have heard the medication word. We talked with his doctor just about a year ago, about this same issue and the doctor said no medication now, let's give it a few years. I also wonder how much of it is attention dificate and how much of it is where he is at develpmentaly. Physically he is 5,development is 3-4 years old. Another thing is he is mainstreamed in school only going to the resource room for 45 min. a day and this teacher has never had a child quite like Tanner before. But she is trying very hard.

Thanks
