Hello, I went to the ER 3 weeks ago and they found a 4mm kidney stone about to enter my bladder. I was prescribed percosets and sent home. 2 weeks ago I went back to the ER again and they pretty much did the same thing. The pain is really getting old and now it burns when I urinate. Its been 3 weeks now, shouldnt I have passed it by now? Also when I drink water it only hurts more.
Thanks
Hey Tommy...I had a similar situation to yours but my stone took 11 weeks to pass. The last 2/3 weeks I had symptoms similar to yours in terms of the burning on urination and feeling of needing to go all the time which the urologist said were signs that the stone had moved into the bladder and was ready to move out soon. Even while in some pain I did quite a bit of jogging and swimming which I believe helped to move the stone along and eventually pass.
Hope yours resolves soon!!!!

Thanks Rob,
I hope so too, I just hope it doesnt get any larger during this time. 11 weeks you say? Wow sorry to hear that, I know you were very happy when it passed finally. ive seen several home remedies that they claim will work like olive oil, lemon juice, baking soda..etc.. any luck with those?

Hey I just passed it ..thanks again Rob!:)
Hi Tommy
Thats great news!!!!!!!!
Make sure you take it in to get it tested so you'll have an idea as to what to avoid in the future which can only help in terms of future stones. I'm currently having mine tested.
Take Care,
Robb
