I will become legal guardian of my cousin. I need to know how to find managed care facilities that can care for profoundly disabled individuals, but which also do have activities etc for these people. He must have 24 hour care and cannot be left alone. However, he does like doing stuff and would not do well in a place that just left him in a room all day. Until now he has lived at home with his parents and a 24 hour care giver. However, the parents are very old (80's) and need to find a home for him and are making me legal guardien. They are unable to find a place (too old and sick to follow up) and I need to find one. Who do I ask? Where do I go to to find information on appropriate places? What organizations should I be speaking with?
He is also slightly unusual as he has both downs syndrom (100% mosaic) and Kleinfelters, and is 44 yrs old.
Thanks
