I was DX in Oct 2005, since then I have probably had almost every MS system there is. Right now my right side is very numb and tingly. I am having trouble with my balance and my vision seems very blurry. At what point do you contact your Neurologist? I don't want to bother him with every little symptom I experience. Should I? Also who decides if and when you should start using a cane or walker? Me or the Neuro? I feel I could benefit from one now, my legs feel like I can hardly support my weight on them and I am having a lot of difficulty lifting my right leg.

Rosep,
If your symptoms are progressing ,you should contact your neuro. As far as the assistances of cane,if you need it,use it,especially if it prevents falls and injuries.Hopefully you need it short term.

Go to see a neurologist as soon as you can. That is the first step. He can help you with your multitude of symptoms. As far as assistance for walking only you can decide when. If you need cane, use it. If you need a walker, use it. That goes for a wheelchair as well. These things will not only assist in your walking, but keep you from falling. Very important. If your neurologist says no to help with walking. Use something anyway. Again, only you can and should decide what you need for help. Good Luck.
