View Full Version : Dizzyness in back of head; sometimes feeling out of it, thinking lumps are cancer ect

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has this problem:
I sometimes have these...headrushes? Dizzyness in back of head, it's really weird. When I was ten, or so, I had an MRI, which came out fine, nothing out of the ordinary.
I also feel out of it- like, I'm there, but not really there.
I'm not sure if this is anxiety, but right now I have a lump behind my ear, my mom has assured me it's just my lymph [sp?] node going out of wack, but I thought it was cancer, and freaked.
I double check everything I do, and second guess myself all the time.
I also have this thing with food being sealed-if I think that it wasn't sealed, I don't use it, and if it looks "tampered" with, I won't eat it.
My friends make fun of me, but I can't get over it.
Anyone who can relate to me?

Musac, my issue started about two weeks ago. I was having a similar type of headrush / surge whatever it is. It was difficult to explain to the doctors when they asked. No pain, just a surge that started at the back of the head and went forward. Anyway, I encourage you to get the lump checked out by a professional because it is always good to rule something out. It may also give you some peace in that regard. I had every test known to man run and everything has checked out normal so far. This has helped me out with some anxiety but I continue to have the symptoms. I'll see if the prescribed meds help. Best wishes to you.

Its just your lymph node. I have it too. Also, it sounds like some anxiety and some obsessional thinking. I get it too.

Okay, thanks for your help.
The bump goes up/down everyday, so I'm sure it is the LN.
The headrushes are really weird, it's like you know they're coming, and so you just sit through it.

hello,,

My 9 yr old son has a lump behind both ears, had it checked, and it was because of an inner ear infection, hes had them for as long as I can remember, doctor says that nothing to worry about. He even has them just smaller when the infection is gone.
Hope this helps....

I have the same thing. I often like to get on the internet and read signs and symptoms and find out what other people are going through. I have found that this seems to make me feel more sure of my self and helps to stop me from freaking out.

Thanks guys ;)
Jenn, come to think about it, whenever I go in the water, [and put my head in] my ears do hurt...
That could be the cause.
Thanks so much for your help!

Just an ear lymph node. Very common. My blew up on vacation once and when I came home, it subsided. If it really freaks you out, get it checked for peace of mind.
