Hello everybody,
I'm glad I found this helpful board. I do suffer from anxiety but my symptoms are more physic than mental. I have been experiencing this stabbing pain in the heart and I'm driving myself crazy. I'm pretty healthy and not overweight. After the pain starts I feel shaky and dizzy.
Anybody can relate to these symptoms?

Thank you!

I'm about two weeks into a set of symptoms that appears to be anxiety related. The first week was just head rushes and surges followed by a couple of panic attacks. The past week or so I have been having left arm pains and tightness in the chest but I had a heart cath last year that was clean and my cardilogist tells me I'm completely heart healthy. So, the anxiety can cause the physical symptoms you are mentioning but it always helps to have a professional opinion. Hope you get to feeling better.

Most of my symptoms are physical, too, then I start worrying about them! While going to the doc will likely make you feel better, getting the A-OK, for now at least know that most true heart pain is not sharp and stabbing. I'd go to the doc, let him check you out so you'll feel better, and after that, tell him or a psychiatrist that you're feeling worried about your symptoms and they may suggest meds and/or therapy to help you. Take care.

Hey this was me too usualy the physical symptom or symptoms then the anxiety and worry.I have had and still get periods of time with left arm burning stabbing, stinging pains sometimes in the chest, left sided facial numbness on and on.Had blood work, chest xray,EKG,holter monitor, stress test with echo all normal. So I figure maybe its a nerve in my neck or just anxiety/stress and try to ignore it best I can.No doctors have sugessted a heart cath for me and honestly id probably be to scared to have that done lol.
