It's almost four weeks after my Leep Cone and I had my period two weeks ago - relatively normal, maybe a little heavier and a day or so longer. My questions is this - I still have pink discharge - not to be gross but like gooey globs of it coming out like at least twice a day. Is this normal or could I have an infection? Also - did anytone have hip pain after their procedure? (I was knocked out for mine).
Thanks!

Hi,
I continued to have a globby discharge after my period was over and that was about 15/16 days after my LEEP. I called the Doctor's office about this same thing, and they told me it was normal to have discharge for that long. All in all, I think I had to wear a panty liner for about a month.
My hip didn't hurt - but I felt pretty beat up for a week or so.
Good luck,
J

i had my leep on monday. Those pamplets and handouts from the doc aren't very honest about what happens afterwards. My pamplet said I should feel fine straight away, I could even go right back to work....
I had it on Monday at 4pm, I took a sick day on tuesday, and wished I had on wednesday. I'm still taking advil today. I had alot of cramping, worse than my normal period. I'm due for mine in about a week and a half. I hope I start feeling better tomorrow.
But now I know you are 2 weeks or further out and still not healed all the way... hopefully they got all the bad cells and we'll be done with this all.

I had my LEEP last Monday. I had no discharge for 1.5 days, then big scabby things like from the biopsy, then I bled for 3 days, now I have this light discharge with something that looks like ashes? I'm assuming this is from the cauterization? I believe they basically burn the tissue? Anyone have this ash like discharge? In all that I've read, I haven't seen anything about ashes. Thanks!

I had light pink to brown discharge for 3 weeks post leep. When it went to the doc for the post op they said the discharge meant I was still not healed and it could take up to 4 weeks. If they positioned you at an uncomfortable angle and you were asleep for the LEEP you could have hip pain, this is what they told me before I went in. The nurse told me to tell them to keep me awake until I was positioned so I would be most comfortable. Hope this helps.
