had a decent day today but did take one .5 mg Xanax around 10:30 this morning. Felt good for the rest of the day until I just tried to go to sleep. Layed in bed and my arm starts hurting and chest gets tight (heart cath last year that was clear). Things start spiraling so I take another .5 mg Xanax. After about an hour, I'm still feeling funny and I feel an attack coming on so I took another .5 mg Xanax. This is the first time I've had to take two pills to control the attack and I've only been on this medication for about a week.

I've had all kinds of tests run and all are normal. This is kind of freaking me out because I've never had a health problem. 37 / male

Do you have something really stressful going on in your life right now?
If so that could be why.
You may want to call your dr to let them know.

The meds may not work every time and .5 is a low low dose maybe you just needed more for it to help.I agree though id call the doctor.
