I have noticed in many of the conversations that some of you are mentioning something called Vitex. I have never heard of this and I am just curious as to what exactly it is and what it does. Any information would be useful as I have been ttc for 2 years and any new help I can get would be great. Thank You:angel:

Vitex is an herb (also under the name chasteberry) that women take to help regulate their cycles. It can help shorten cycles for women who have cycles longer than 35 days, correct luteal phase defects (if they ovulate extremely early or extremely late in the cycle), correct certain hormonal imbalances, etc. Even women who don't have any of these issues take it to try and get a boost toward pregnancy.

If you are looking for more specific information, there is a lot available if you do a search. :)

Good Luck!

I agree with Goldenmom (who has actually helped me alot out with this one), and I am on the Vitex right now. It makes my sides hurt, and makes me nauseous, but I think its well worth it. If you need more information, just go to Vitamin World (if you have one by you) Or read my old posts cuz thats where all the info is at, or well thats where I got my info. Good Luck!

I'm glad that Mindy mentioned the nausea! About 10-15 minutes after I take the capsule I feel terrible. I've tried taking it at night -- that's worse. I've tried taking it with and without food. It seems that there is no good solution, but the nausea doesn't last long...
