Well im taking alesse 28 10mg (low dosage) and will soon be put on a bigger dosage (20mg) with levlite 28, which i was told was Alesse's new name. Any way earlier today i took Motrin IB which contains NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) and i looked up and found out that NSAID may effect the effectivness of birthconrol. Now i would like to know how much it would effect it or if it even really effects the birthcontrol pill because i had protected sex once and half protected and the other half non protected sex today about 4 hours before taking Motrin IB and am a little worried.

I've never heard that motrin affects the pill. If that were true, I'd have gotten pregnant a lot over the years, because I take a ton of it while I'm on my period for cramps. I don't think you need to worry about it. But if you're concerned, then talk to your doctor or phramacist, and always use a condom. Maybe that's also why I didn't get pregnant. Despite being on the pill, I always used a condom, anyway.
But I have taken megadoses of ibuprofren for cramps and I never had any problems with my bcp being any less effective. And frankly I've never heard of that either. This is the first time I have heard that.

I've actually heard it the other way around: that bcps make NSAIDS less effective.
