I am a bit of a hypochondriac but my latest worry is ovarian cancer. While researching cervical cancer I ran into some information about ovarian cancer. I now remember my cousin being diagnosed with it when she was my age (22). It was caught early I guess, so she's ok now. But as I read the symptoms I become a little worried.

Is it normal to have lower back pain about 10 days before your period? I don't get a whole lot of cramps, just back pain. I'm also gassy a lot, especially before my period. I also tend to urinate a lot like the day before my period. Am I just overreacting?

I think you're overreacting a bit, lol.

Back pain can be from a multitude of things, including poor posture. Heck, I threw my back out last week sneezing after a day of cleaning baseboards in my house.

If you're a hypochondriac, I'm sure you're getting regular yearly blood tests. Any kind of cancer in your body, 9 times out of 10, often is found with an elevated white blood cell count.

As my own doctors say, "Stop reading the internet and scaring yourself!"

Yes, I just got a blood count about 2 months ago, for other reasons. I didn't know if things like ovarian cancer would change your blood count. Well, I guess that comforts me a little.

And yes, I do need to stop reading these things on the internet. HA is the worst!
