i wandered if anyone can help me please. my mum dx jan with ovca stage 3c, she was on carb/taxol but taxol was stopped after 2nd round as she lost 22% of her body weight, so has been having carb alone since, 13 weeks ago she had total hyst, omentum and everything removed, plus all visible cancer. then 2 weeks ago went to hospital with inflammed appendics, had them removed and has some biopsies taken, results: appendics cancerous, and more small cancer tumours around. doc said not looking too good, especially as she hasnt even gone into remission yet. they are starting her on more taxol plus mitoxantrone chemo next friday, has anyone heard of this chemo regimen for recurrence etc?? doc was very wary about giving mum taxol again, but she wanted to try it as it helped shrink tumours last time. we are all just so worried about her having this one again, and is there a good chance it is going to work? i also asked about ip chemo, but they think it is too strong and the side effects are too much. if this new one doesnt work, does anyone know what else can be done that may help/work. thanks in advance to anyone who has any info. kaz
