Does anyone know if there is truth to the rumor that Birth Control Pills are left ineffective when combined with Xenadrine (the "over the counter" diet pill)?

I was also curious about mixing OTC diet pills with BC pills and I haven't gotten a direct answer yet. I would suggest talking to either your doctor (which you should do if you're going to start taking xenedrine or anything of the sort) or to your pharmacist.

i take trimspa and the nuvaring. i called my doctor this morning. I suggest you do the same. no one seems to know much about it. my ob/gyn is gonna call me back so she can research all of the drug facts for herself. i hope they dont cancell eachother out because one usually makes you gain and one makes you loose the weight. if you dont have an ob/gyn call up a pharmacy, you'de be supprise how helpful pharmasists are.

There is NO WAY to know if OTC diet supplement will interact with birth control as these supplements aren't regulated or evaluated by the FDA. This means that you're never guarenteed as to what you're putting into your body.

You're not going to get a definate answer, because no formal studies are done on herbals and supplements.
