Hi I have been suffering from dizziness, head, neck and ear pain since last October. I had all the ENT stuff done and checked out fine. I am currently under going orthodontia and was a year into it when all this started. The audiologist said she thought my problems were related to my orthodontia so I saw a TMJ specialist. He said I do not have any actual joint damage but have a lot of myofascial pain. There are muscled in your jaw called lateral pterygoids and when they go into spasm another muscle called tensor veli palatini which is responsible for opening and closing the eustachian tubes. This all started when they tried to shift my top teeth to the right to fix my midline. The TMJ guy said not to do this so they are moving my teeth back to stabalize my bite and hopefully this will all stop.
Hope this information is helpful.
