hey, this is my first post so i hope that someone can help. i have been on the combined pill for about a year however i am still not sure that when i take a week's break for my period that i can have sex in this space of time as there are a few days before my period begins that i stop taking the pill. it says on the instructions that i am still protected but am not sure if it is as effective and do not want to risk getting pregnant! Please could someone let me know!

yes you are still protected as long as you took all the pills correctly and you don't have more than 7 days break.
