ok....
I just started taking Yasmin a week and a half ago, the first day of my period this month like I was instructed, which was a Monday. I just lost my virginity technically on Sunday and it was only 6 days into the pills, not even a full week. Now all he did was go a little bit in, not completely, and he didn't use a condom. He didn't finish, he was only in for like 30 secs. maybe less. I know about preejaculate fluid so that's why I got a little nervous.
I read the pack and it said that if you start the pills on the first day that you begin your period you are protected right then, but I have a hard time believing that. I thought it took awhile for your body to get adjusted to medications.
I need some opinions on how long you think it really takes, I heard a month to three months, a week, but that's not what i read on the package.
Also what do you think my chances are of having gotton pregnant. I don't even think I ovulated yet but I know sperm can stay in your body for 3-4 days, but with bc pills you aren't suppose to ovulate.
What y'all think??? THANKS! :)

hi there...
your packet is right, if you start taking your pills on the first day of your period then you're protected right away. If you start it the sunday after, then you should use a backup method. If your worried though you can still use a condom to ease your mind although you really don't have anything to worry about.
It can take up to 3 months for your body to get adjusted to the pill. But that doesn't mean you aren't protected during those 3 months. That just means that after 3 months you're less likely to have breakthrough bleeding because your body is used to taking it.
Yes, bc (when taken right) suppresses ovulation. If you've taken them right so far, you won't ovulate.
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions I'd be happy to help!
