I started using ezorb calcium in order to avoid the indigestion I had with other forms of calcium. I've read the success stories about increases in bone density using this calcium. I was wondering if anyone out there used it and did not have an increase or at least a maintenance of bone density.

I too read such great things about Ezorb and have been taking it for a year. In another year I will take a second bone density scan to see if there are any improvements. But I have not been able to find ANY feedback to speak of from the professional industry on this seemingly miraculous form of calcium.

It's under discussion and one member has given a testimonial about it near the end of this thread on this board

I would have big trouble affording this stuff (It is priced high compared to reg calcium pills) and I have to find out about my allergies but otherwise it sure sounds better than Fosamax for sure.
I too am interested in people's experience with it.

I use e-zorb and had a bone density test five months after using it according to the directions, with the beginning boost of a higher dose the first three months.
I had osteopenia in my spine and hip before taking it. My spine went to normal, density, but my hip was a fraction worse. I called the e-zorb rep and told him about my bone density result and he told me it wouldn't hurt to increase my dose to 6 pills daily (the boost amount) to see if my hip improves, if I could afford it. Sometimes I take 6 piils if I didn't eat enough calcium rich foods during the day.
The expense of e-zorb is the same as Citrical when you purchase their special of three bottles, and e-zorb might be cheaper since you don't need to buy magnesium or vitamin d supplements to aid calcium absoprtion with e-zorb, but I take magnesium and vitamin d anyway.
I try to balance my diet now with alkaline (doesn't rob calcium) and acidic (calcium robbing) foods. I addressed the nutrition issue on another post.
If I eat a food that is acidic like meat, I'll balance it with a calcium containing alkaline food like collard greens. If i drink a glass of red wine (acidic), I'll pour in calcium forified orange juice (alkaline), it tastes like sangria, it's good!
Instead of snacking on potato chips, I'll eat 1/4 cup of sunflower seeds (alkaline) that contain over 30% calcium. It's kind of fun preparing meals geared to my health needs, it's keeps my mind active, and hopefully it will bring good results. I got my total cholesterol down from 300 to 173 without statin drugs, by taking natural supplements and reducing saturated fat from my diet.
Remember everyone, don't take your calcium supplements or any supplements or medicine with fiber(ex. oat bran cereal breakfast), your system won't absorb it. If I have fiber for breakfast, I take my supplements an hour or two later with a cracker.
I wonder how many cases of ostepenia/osteoporosis are due to nutrition mistakes?
