Just thought I'd offer to this anyone that may going through a similar situation I experienced. Prior to my heart cath in 2006, I was searching ever board I could find for information about my situation.

I was a 35 year old male and went in for a check up, which I had not had in several years. blood work, ekg, etc. My blood pressure was up slightly and my EKG was abnormal. showed something weird but I can't remember excactly what it was. My doctor was concerned about the results and scheduled me to visit with a local cardiologist. I had the nuclear stress test and the results showed a light spot at the back of my heart. So, I have an abnormal EKG, failed nuclear stress test but have no family history or symptoms of heart disease. anyway, I chose to have the heart cath with the two failed test and everything came back fine with no blockage at all.

So if you are going in for a heart cath and have a similar situation, just relax because there are false positives out there. The procedure was easy and I had a peace about knowing there was no blockage. My father also had a false positive stress test and the cath showed no blockage. If there is blockage, this is something that can be fixed during the procedure and you will be up and going soon. Hope this helps someone that is searching for this type of information.
