I've had several kidney stones recently; caused by drinking too much caffeine (I never knew it dehydrated me so much).
I never felt the stones pass, even though the doctor said one was pretty big, so I feel like I still will pass them soon.
Anyways, I'm drinking a lot of water and normal stuff now; but on the rare occasion I have an iced tea or something, I get a mild ache in my kidney area, its almost always right afterwards, then goes away after I drink some water.
I can imagine the caffeine is still affecting my kidneys somehow (aggravating things), but is this normal?

Lorien,
I have not noticed any more pain after drinking a caffeine beverage then I have when I drink water. I know that we should not be drinking caffeine beverages because they have a tendency to dehydrate us but they sure are a temptation.
