Hi
I was diagnosed with 1 and 2 a few months back after having some itching, tingling and a tiny cut that scabbed over outside my vagina.Anyway,I have been doing pretty good no other sores or anything since. So then a few days ago I started my period and right before starting I started to feel just unwell.Fatigued worse then usual just real tired, weak, hot feeling, some achiness. All of it reminds me of the flu.I have felt this way since right before I started my period and it gets worse and better off and on.I am still on my period which should be over soon.My question is could these symptoms be due to the Herpes? like an outbreak? I want to make clear that I do not have any sores or any type of lesions or tingling nothing just these flu like symptoms.

thanks

I think you should go and see your doctor. There are many things that mirror flu like symptoms.

Good Morning ~

It sounds to me like an ob - trying to start....I've had a few in the past start this way....Not, full-blown flu symptoms, just tired and aching with fatigue. If it's just before your period, it's probably an ob, trying to emerge. Mine usually starts as a tingle/sting/burn feeling down below. But, the things that you're describing, I've had as well. Maybe once or twice, since I've had HSV down below. I would suggest lots of rest/fluids and boost your immune system with vitamins and extra vitamin C. Do you take any supplements to help supress your HSV?
hope you feel better, -shinyOrn

Maybe a week before your period, I would start taking a good multivitamin, and an extra vitamin-c tablet, lysine and garlic oild tabs. the garlic oil & lysine, can be bought at walmart...if you're not comfortable taking rx's, then supplements/vitamins, may help "ward-off" the virus and will keep in hibernation to it doesn't surface. Herpes can be triggered by hormonal changes, ie: your period, but also stress, poor diet and lack of quailty sleep can also cuase ob's. Hoping soemthing here was helpful.....-shinyOrn.
