I mentioned to my doctor about the possibility of IBS. I also have acid reflux disease.

Do we think that the following constitute IBS? I had a colonoscopy done two years ago for bleeding, and it was diagnosed as internal hemorrhoids. Here we go: Loose bowels, pain in abdomen, pain on left side...like under the ribcage, gas pains, cramping, and the like. Sometimes, immediately following a meal, I must use the bathroom. HELP! Should I see a gastroenterologist again?

I concur you should see a GI doc for further evaluation. Could be IBS... perhaps increase your calcium just a bit and see if it slows things down? No to much cause if it is IBS then you may swing the other way with IBC-C (constipation) if it is IBS.
Also try a pepto bismal tablet perhaps. Try one thing at a time to see what works.
See another GI doc for an anti spasmodic might help also.

I have IBS w/diarrhea and it is hell. Definitely see another GI doctor for a complete workup including a scan, MRI, ultrasound, food intolerance tests, etc. to arrive at a proper diagnosis as your problems could be caused by a number of things. In the meantime, try Immodium AD and eating at least one or two yogurts per pay (probiotics), definitely increase the fiber in your diet with natural foods and something like Benefiber, drink lots of water, stay away from carbonated beverages and coffee, by all means avoid fried foods, do not eat anything with seeds like berries, cucumbers, or nuts and see if it helps.

Good luck to you and let us know how it turns out.
