If you r taking metformin you probably have diabetes. That is a drug taken for it. Are there other reasons to take metformin?????HMMMMM

Yes, definitely call the pharmacist - they know more about drugs and their interactions than anyone, including doctors and specialists, as the majority of their schooling is learning the drugs and their effects :-)

It's been a while since your first post but I take a Beta Blocker and Glucophage too for similar reasons.
I take Toprol XL.
I've now had both ovarys and my uterus removed.
I'm staying on the Glucophage for maintenance because
my Pancreas is still producing too much Insulin.
For those who asked, Glucophage(metformin) is used
to help the cells become more sensitive to the insulin in the body.
It is used for women with PCOS, for Diabetics and for
people with Hyopglycemia caused from over production of Insulin.
I've been on the beta blocker and Glucophage since Novemeber.
I feel better.
I suppose just about everything is potentially damaging. However, my Puls was too far out of control and my sugar was dropping to the coma level so for me the meds are the lesser of the medical evils.
I'm taking my chances.
