Does anyone ever get crawling sensations in their lower back, buttox, anum and groin area. It comes on strong about every three weeks. I don't have any major blisters on my penis but I think this is herpes. I asked the doctor and showed him what I thought was an outbreak but told me it wasn't. I think this guy is all wrong.

Please someone help me.

To know for sure, you'll want to have a blood test done...the IgG test. After having herpes I've learned that it has many faces even within my own body. I have so many different types of OBs...sometimes having a crawly feeling in my genital area. I can even feel itchy all over my legs during an OB but other than a couple little spots there's nothing there?????? I think the indicator for me that an OB is coming on me is by hip starts to itch where is once had a huge lesion and by feet start to sting and ache and tingle. I'm sure if I went to a doctor about those symptoms they'd also tell me that it's not herpes and run a million tests and never ever figure out what it is! Then $10,000 later they still won't know what it is!:dizzy:

I understand that as I have had herpes 2 for 9 years not only that
I get nerve pain in arms and legs also that crawling sensation feeling in my face, and other parts of the body its horid it more depressing than the
outbreaks as these days they are very slight, the nerve problems are worse than the outbreaks, anyone eles get these symptoms ?

I've also started to wonder how many people that are being diagnosed with "restless leg syndrom" don't really have herpes. Kinda makes ya wonder doesn't it?! I have symptoms that could easily be described as RLS from herpes.

Oh my gosh...I am so floored by this thread. I have just been tested for the herpes virus 4 days ago after developing some bumps/sores just outside the vaginal area that I am worried about....have never had this kind of "rash" in my life (I am 35 yrs old).

What I found quite alarming while reading this thread is that I too in this past year have been experiencing strange symptoms that have been unexplainable by the Dr.'s I first started noticing things about 2 - 3 yrs ago mostly after a car accident I was in November of 2004. Then it seemed most things got better after physio and such.

I ended up being rather stressed with stuff going on in my life about a year or so ago and now that I'm really thinking about it, I've had chronic UTI's this past 2 yrs or so now as well where more than 1/2 of the results have come back negative yet I'm still being treated. I also had major surgery this past Feb. where after recovery and return to work I began noticing a tingling sensation (that really shouldn't have anything to do with the surgery I had) that was happening down the left outer part of the arm to my 2 outer fingers on the left hand and as well I've been having this hip/groin/buttocks pain mostly on my right side though seems to have now moved over to my left side these past few mths. I was also getting ALOT of headaches back in April/May and part of June too...those seem to have subsided for the most part and my Dr. and I chalked it up to me getting mild migraines right after my monthly period (seemed to be happening every month for several mths and then they became sporadic, no pattern during the mths I just mentioned).

My family Dr. and Psychiatrist (yes I am in therapy - though until now it had nothing to do with herpes as I had no reason to think I might have it) both seem to think much if not all my symptoms are stress/anxiety related. What's really strange though was about 2-3 mths ago - totally out of the blue, I started getting this tingling sensation on my feet where they'd begin to turn a red colour mostly on the bottoms and inside of the tops of the feet, with some minor itching and burning sensation but there was no apparent swelling. I was also getting a crawling sensation around the anal area every ferw weeks it seemed as well, this started about 2-3 mths ago too.

Now folks, the feet thing has really stumped the Dr.'s most especially....though my Psychiatrist did say that some of the symptoms I have described sound like a nerve issue but what's triggering it at this point is unknown. He also said that much of the symptoms I had been having could very well have been manifestations of stress and anxieties. In the past 3 mths or so I've been screened for STD's (though likely not herpes until now) along with a realm of blood tests and there was a CT scan done 2 mths ago as well....all came back normal. However, within the past week I've now been tested for herpes and STD's again with one result back thus far saying that I now have bacterial vaginosis (that I didn't have 3 mths ago) and I am still waiting for the other results....but in these past 4 weeks or so I have also been treated for another UTI (trace blood was found in the urine along with other bladder type symptoms I was having) and have also been having some fevers/chills and body-aches this past 5 days or so - but also did about 2 weeks ago for 2 days - of course my niece was also sick for 2 days about 2 weeks ago with fever, being extremely tired, etc.)....anyway, what is entirely new to me is the now bumps/sores I have on the outside of my vaginal area. :O( Btw, I only have 4-5 bumps/sores with no new ones developing these past 2 days or so and all but one of them are on the left side of genital area and so is most of my discomfort in the lower back/hip/buttocks area.

All of the above said, most of the "physical" symptoms have either disappeared these past 2-3 mths or have almost entirely gone away but slightly linger here and there. It's just been the past 4-5 days really that I've been feeling sickly flu like every day with the presents of bumps/sores now that started pretty much 6 days ago.

I mean if I have the virus, could it be possible that much of these symptoms I've had over this past year or more were that of herpes but have not had the outbreaks of sores until now? Would I not have had an outbreak of the sores during the recovery from my surgery being that I was sick afterward losing so much blood, etc?? It's all so frustrating!!
