Hi
I had consult in NYC... 1500$ per treatment with 10% discount for multiple treatments.... multiple treatments in DC area will run you about 900$...

Never had it done, but it looks very promising. They just did a feature on Good Morning America and the results were impressive. One lady had tried EVERYTHING to get rid of brown spots on her face and Fraxel was the only thing that worked. I would not hesitate to get it if it wasn't so pricey.

$1,500 per treatment is really high, but I guess that what you have to pay in New York. I would try looking somewhere outside of the city, since it would probably be much cheaper.

In south jersey, right outside of philadelphia (not an overly expensive area), I can tell you that one session for my entire face would be $1200. And if you need between 4 and 6 sessions to see a major difference, which is what my research has brought me to believe...well, you can do the math. Now to explain a little about myself so you can gauge the cost per issue. Well my friends, I was in a car accident when I was a child, I have very very faint scars (quite a few of them) on the left hand cheek area and lower neck..not noticeable anymore unless you are an inch from my face...and if anyone is that close, then I'm normally kissing them and our eyes are closed anyway. Also, I have two other scars, again very small, but not that old, from a breakdancing accident where essentially...I fell on my face..haha. One of them is on my nose, where the stiches were, and the other is basically in the same place that Marilyn Monroe had her mole. Both are a little pink. Both are depressed. In addition to these scars, I have always had freckles (very light) and also moles (very small and none are raised) on my face.

When I was younger and even still some today, I surf. Well, if I knew then, what I know now, I surely would have better protected my skin when out in the sun as I rarely wore sunblock. So with all of the sun exposure over the years, I've also managed to darken some of the "spots"...eh, what can you do?

Now I've always been apprehensive about my appearance and always thought, "I'm such a cool person, why does this keep happening?". I've looked at many different options over the years and even tried a few to help to "fade" the certain areas which bothered me the most. And, to be perfectly honest, with a lot of money spent and a lot of time invested, the areas that look the best are the ones that are the oldest and ironically enough, the ones that were never treated beyond stiches.

Now, I know that I'm not an ugly person by any strech and I also realize that I am in fact, my worst critic. I've had girlfriends and no problem meeting people, and I'm often told when discussing with friends, that they can't even see anything and never notice. So at this point, I think that it's time for me to just accept that this is who I am. I mean, we all know that beauty is only temporary anyway, and to be honest...are we really going to let the media tell us what is beautiful. I find beauty in so many things beyond aesthetics anyhow.

I'm sorry, I know that this is probably not the answer that any of you were looking for, but it's just my insight after 29 years of living.

I found that just going to your dermatologist and talking to them about what options you have for each issue, always seems to work the best. Whether lasers or surgery or whatever, these methods often seem to present the best results. Just understand two things please:

1. These options will always be kinda pricey no matter where you go
2. Everytime you get these things done, you are just starting the healing process over again, and scars always take time to heal...ALWAYS, so it's kinda like 1 step forward and 1.5 steps back initially.

I wish you all the best. Just know that if you have a great personality and you're friendly, people will not focus on your flaws, but focus on the positive vibe that you project.
