Hello everyone,

I'm new to this board, and very excited to be here! I got married on July 22, and my husband and I are very excited to get pregnant, so we began trying right away--and by right away, I mean on our wedding night. We were hoping to not see AF in early August (on our honeymoon), but sadly she came--however it was 4 days early. My cycle is normally 30 days long, however last month it was only 26. Anyway, today would be the 13th day of my cycle, since I got my period on July 31, so when is it most likely I will be ovulating? I've been reading up and so I know the signs of ovulation (bbt & cm), but I'm just really hoping we didn't miss our prime time to do the baby dance (we didn't have intercourse for the past 3 days--today we did).

Anyway, my question is this (and it may have nothing to do with pregnancy whatsoever)--tonight I have cramping like af is about to arrive, and I also feel a little nausiated, like I may lose my lunch. Could this mean anything? Thanks for taking the time to read this!!

Any input is much appreciated!

P.S. I took a hpt after my last period was over since it was quite unusual, and it was a bfn.

Most women ovulate between cycle day 11 and 18. You could be feeling ovulation pains, but at this point, the embryo would not have implanted yet, so feeling any pulling related to pregnancy would not be the case. It seems like it could be related to ovulation.

Good luck!

Hi Whiskers,

[ REMOVED ]

is my 2nd month trying and lets hope it works! I am due to get my period in 11 days and lets hope she doesn't show. Anyways, I have been having BD every other day in my ovulation window. I haven't had this much BD since my DH and i were dating :) I have taken 3 hpt all BFN and my husband thinks I am making myself crazy and I am......I'm glad I found this board....I don't feel so alone anymore, I am the first out of all my family and friends TTC. Good luck!

Hi whiskers, I have a 30-35 day cycle and I usually ovulate on CD18. Though you may not. Have you thought about using OPK's or charting your BBT or CM. This may help you determine when you O. GOod luck!!!

Thanks for the replies!

Kellie, I think I will use a OPK if I get my period this month... AF is due in 14 days, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed as well! When do you begin using one for the month? I really have no idea as I've never tried for a baby before. Is it an every-day thing?

I agree with WillyFredMama that this board is a godsend. I am on just about every day reading other people's questions and comments on ttc, I think I am becoming obsessed, although I'm trying very hard not to think about it and not to hope too much, because I don't want to be let down... I was SO upset and cried a lot at the end of July when I got my bfn, and we had only been trying for 2 weeks! So I *think* I will be lucky this month (although it could just be hopeful thinking), but I am trying to prepare myself for the worst.

I will keep you guys updated, and you will hear from me soon! You guys keep me posted too! Talk to you all later!
