Hi there,

I am wondering if anyone has informaation or suffers from a similar problem i have at the moment.
It is a bit of a strange one really.
It all started about 8 months ago when i got a weird type of pressure feeling in my head. It is not really painful, more so distracting so i would not call it a headache as such. It has been pretty much constant since then and has gotten neither better nor worse. It seems to affect me more if i am just sitting at home and have time to think about it, while if i am playing sport, socialising etc, i seem to forget about it. The only real relief i have funnily enough seems to be the day after a good night out and a few drinks!!!

I am 22 and passed a full aviation medical for work 3 months ago. I have also been to the doctor who has only suggested nurofen and physio as he reckons it may be muscular.

Thanks,
James

Hi,

I’m new here and have many problems associated with a head injury in 1995. I’m not going to list them all here because I don’t want to hog the board. Your post caught my eye because you mentioned pressure in your head, which is the way I describe my pain. I have chronic migraines, mine are everyday also and very from pressure like a change in altitude to an ape squeezing my head. Why mine started is obvious and so far other then being stoned enough that I don’t care about them (Methadone) there is no cure for me but you may have a chance for treatment. I’m the opposite from you in the respect that activity of any kind makes mine worse and can only wish I could hold a an ice cold beer in my hand. That’s a sure fire way to spend a day in bed for me. Here’s the point, I found that there are many different types of migraines, 150 diagnostic headache categories have been established. Here is a link to a part of the health boards that may help you discover what is going on with you and give your doctor a hint as to where to start. http://healthboards.webmd.com/content/article/46/1826_50703.htm Good Luck!

Dave
