I was just wondering...this seemed like an appropriate board to ask this on.. I have had unprotected sex a couple times...i realize this is risky..im not TRYING to get pregnant...but im not really NOT trying either. I have a pack of pills...and the on the days that i had sex i took 2 birth control pills. I do NOT take them regularly...and i know that doctors say you should be on a pill regularly for about a month before not using a backup method..but i was wondering if anyoneknew the odds of the birth control pill negating any chance to conceive.? any feedback would be nice....any guesses..?

Those pills will do absolutley nothing to help prevent a pregnancy.

You may as well not take them at all. The way you are taking them will do nothing to prevent pregnancy. Either take them as directed or don't take them at all, because you're not doing anything to prevent pregnancy the way you are taking them right now. In other words, there are no "odds" to speak of, because you are not protected at all by what you are doing.

If you keep this up, get ready to be a mom, because you're seriously risking it.

Taking random birth control pills is like taking nothing. Throw the card you have away, it is useless. Either get a fresh card and take as directed, or give up taking birth control pills at all and seek a different method of birth control.

As for pregnancy. It is not as easy to get pregnant as you think. You have approx. a three day window in which you can concieve. In that time you ovulate, the striations in your vaginal secretions change allowing sperm into uterus. There are alot of things going on.

If you have been "kinda trying not to get pregnant, kinda not caring if you do or don't" this just means you have not hit the magic 3 day window. You have unprotected sex during those three most fertile days and "jackpot" chances are you will get pregnant. So far it sounds like you have been missing those 3 days, but it is like playing russian roulette. If you wish to keep on going like you have with the unprotected sex please google up "the billings method of contraception" and have a long read.

Taking one or two birth control pills is doing nothing helpful for you.

Since you are not really using any BC, the odds among couples having regular unprotected relations are about 80/100 in a years time. The odds would decrease with age, but I get the impression that you are young.
