I'm new to this site and, thankfully, found the messages about trying to get off Zoloft. I've been trying for the last few months but keep going back on it because of the "brain zaps." However, I've had no assistance with going off Zoloft. Does anyone have advice for me? I've been trying to quit cold turkey, but after a week or so, I can't take the brain zaps anymore. I also feel kind of tipsy (drunk-like) sometimes. I currently take 50 mg/day.

Any suggestions? I just don't know where to start. Everyone seems to advise against cold turkey.

Thank you for any advice you have.

Have you read the "Zoloft withdrawal is hell" posts? Lots of info there. People have also suggested the Prozactruth.com website. Take the advice to taper slowly...cold turkey is not the way to go. Work with a doctor you trust. These seem to be things folks have found helpful on these boards.
