Anyone taking Wellbutrin and Valium?? If so what did u experience while on these drugs? Any info would be helpful Thanks!!

The other night i took valium and oxy-contin and a bottle of wine. Thats the only time i've taken valium but it was mixed with other things. But the usual feeling with valium is relaxation and usually it makes you calm and not stressed so you can sleep. My friend is on Welbutrin(sorry for bad spelling) And he says that it makes him have bad mood swings. I think i might have takin it one time. I beleive its used for depression and add. Can i ask why you wanted to know?

I am taking wellbutrin for depression. I started having bad verigo(dizziness) the doc put me on Valium. I am not the type to just take drugs and experiment that way I was seeing if anyone else had to take the two together before I jumped head first.

I am going to start Zyban (haven't filled the prescription yet) which I understand is the same as Wellbutrin but I also have Clonazepam (Klonopin - same family as Valium I think) that was prescribed a while ago as needed and was wondering if the two were safe to mix as well. The doc never said anything about it and I wondered if it was okay. Hopefully someone will come along that can tell us both whether or not they experienced any problems or if they shouldn't be mixed.

Hi willowstar thank you for your reply. Are you taking the zyban for smoking reasons or something else. I smokes before I started my wellbutrin and I quit in about 4 days!!!. I have taken the valium with my wellbutrin for 3 days no strange effects yet. I hope that is good news.

That's great news...I'm glad to hear there were no funny side effects and you're doing well so far. I am taking the Zyban to quit smoking and I don't think the doc remembered that I have the clonazepam as I don't normally take it. I was given it because of anxiety over a health scare (hence the quitting smoking) so I just wanted to double check on any interactions. I may not even have to use the clonazepam but I wanted to be sure it was okay.

I am very encouraged to hear that you quit smoking after four days...I'm hoping that this will work for me. When I fill the prescription I'll ask the pharmacist about interactions with the benzodiazepines and if they tell me anything weird I'll let you know. Otherwise it sounds like you're doing well on the combination and I hope it works great for you!
