My mom was diagnosed four weeks ago with stage IV uterine cancer. Without chemo they gave her two to three weeks to live. She went ahead and did the chemo and was very weak with no appetite the first week. She has gotten stronger, but has not natered(?) out yet. She is scheduled for a second round of chemo next week. The oncologists are not hopeful to perform surgery because how far it has spread. Can someone tell me their experience with the second round of chemo when it is this far spread? She is also a diabetic and has an enlarged heart. I understand it is different for everyone, but would really like to know something more than the cookie-cutter approach the doctors have given her.
