okay well im 16 and ive never had intercourse or been in a relationship. but i do have cold sores dunno how i got em prolly from a friend when i took a drink from his water bottle. well i think i might have spread them to my genital area. im worried alot. can u pass them like that and is it something i should worry

Your cold sores most likely came from your mom, aunt or grandmother when kissing you as a child, since women love to kiss little kids.
Once you have developed antibodies to one type of the virus, the chance of transmitting the virus to another part of your body is about zero.
Since you have something going on that's not normal, you should have your doctor take a look at it.

oo thanx for the reply. i think i had it for 3 years but who knows. so its probably unlikely to spread it to another area then. well i can feel alittle better than

This sounds weird but I have seen it done. This story sort of reminds me/makes me think that it is possible. Women do kiss babies alot. Some kiss their babies on their lips and others all over their bodies. I have actually seen someone changing their baby and then kiss them in the private area. So let's just say this mother had HSV then she just gave her baby genital herpes. The child then grows up having these outbreaks on their genitals and does not know where they came from because he had not been sexually active in anyway shape or form. SO it is possible that you got this from....
