I had a neuro visit today and were going over things. I told her that I thought I was having Aura sez's and told her what was going on. She said that what I was describing were Aura's.
She said that there were three types of sez's - partial, complex partial, and one more that I can't remember (bad memory!!!). She said that one of them were sometimes called Aura sezs.
I asked her why I was having these types now. Before I was having only focal (as far as I know because I didn't realize what an aura was).
She told me that I was in the 30% of people that would probably not stop having sez's, and that these were the different kind that I would be having.
I wanted to know if anyone else has been told this too?

Haven't heard of this 30% thing.
Auras are actually simple partial seizures that warn some people that another type of seizure (complex partial or generalized/grand mal) is coming; or some have the simple partial seizures and nothing else. Keep a diary of when then happen, how long they last, the symptoms, etc...might help the doc....
