Hi everyone :wave: . I've been on birth control pills since April to regulate my periods. They've worked well since last month. Last month my period lasted only 3 days. It usually lasts 5 - 6 days. Today I got my period, but it has been very very light. Does anyone know why this is and what could be causing it to do that?

Lighter and shorter periods are due to PROLONGED pill use. In other words, after you have been on the pill awhile your periods get lighter and shorter. When I was first on the pill my periods were still pretty much as heavy as ever and they get lighter every month. I barely have a period now after five years. It is very very light. Just a great perk of the birth control pill!
