Before your diagnosis? I have this huge problem with taking any calcium supplement for the last few years-my upper stomach bloats real bad and my bowels literally stop for a few days(don't pass gas or have a b.m.(sorry!)). Then I live with this stomach problem for weeks until it kind of quits being so bad. I have not yet had a high calcium level, but I'm looking at a para. problem pretty closely. I can't sleep, even with meds. I have microscopic blood in my urine often, occ. feelings of bladder inf. but there is none. Lots of lethargy, occ. dizziness, etc. I was just wondering if taking calcium was a problem for anyone that has been diagnosed.

Not for me though it is important to remember that calcium supplementation will not work in the presence of too much parathyroid hormone.
