Hi

I need to know some information about herpes testing.

I am scared that I may have herpes, which I probably don't.

I slept with someone 9 - 10 weeks ago, I haven't had any symptoms at all. He told me that he slept with a girl who didn't know she had it until an outbreak occured so he got tested. His test came back after 3 months as negative. And about 2 weeks ago I asked him to get tested again, it came back negative. His doctor tested for everything including herpes and said he was clean. I keep asking him about it cause I don't see him, only talk to him online - he says " I have nothing", "For the last time, I have nothing!" "I was tested for both types of herpes and I'm clean" the last message he said "leave me alone I have nothing".... do you think he is genuine?

I have done a lot of research and I'm scared....how did he manage not to catch it from her?????

How accurate are tests when they come back negative? as he has had 2 done now. Well he says he has and Im pretty sure he is genuine.

Do you think I would have herpes from him? although his tests are negative??? I feel sick, please help me....

Maybe you are just worrying yourself sick!!!!!!!! Have the tests done when it's about 4 months after exposure so you will know if you have it. Just because he had sex with someone that has herpes doesn't mean that he will for certain have herpes just as if he has herpes doesn't mean you have to have it too. As far as trusting his answer...I'd say NO WAY! There's absolutely no way you can know if he's lying and honestly I'd assume that he'd say that he's negative even if he's positive but asking him repeatedly is going to do you no good. It's just up to you to be tested. Good luck with the test results. You did say you had protected sex right? If not...always use protection in the future! You have to protect yourself, you can never depend on someone being upfront with herpes or any other std for that matter...HIV being a whole lot bigger thing to protect yourself against! With most stds, most people that have them don't know they have anything!

Hi

My doctor said to wait 3 months to be tested. Do you think I should go get tested at 3 months and then request a new test at 4 months?

Its been 10 weeks so far....I only have 2 weeks until I can get tested. The stress of not knowing is killing me.
