does anyone here have bumps on joints i have 2 spots the size of dimes on my outer thumbs now have 2 new ones starting on the inside they are all at the first joint down from the nail pad. They grow upwards and then the skin becomes gray white these area do not receive pressure at first i thought calluses now with 2 more coming on i don,t know. They are sore when you touch them. I have arthritis allready in my neck shoulder knees my doctor states it is osteoarthritis but i wonder if it is not ra as i run a low grade temp at times tired all the time i am losing more grip in my hands any suggestions or answers would be great thanks.I have not had any bloodwork done lately it has been 2 months had thyroid and cbc everything looked ok. I am going to start testing on my own our health dept here does for a small fee i am going to have cbc and sed rate to check wbc for elevation over next few months and watch for changes. thanks

I have RA... I do have a "bump" on right thumb as you describe...I also have 3 on right wrist... Mine do get sore to the touch for awhile..then they won't be sore for awhile... before RA flare..I run a low grade fever...

With Ra you can get "nodules" that grow on your joints, they are hard little bumps that sometimes can be red and tender to the touch. With your bumps being gray, I would say you have ganglions like me. I have two on the top of my right hand. They are puffy like they have fluid inside and the do. I did a search and found out more about them than my doctor told me. They are cluster of nerves that puff up and have a tail that runs down to the bone underneath and are very painful.
