i had a filling in my front tooth about a month or two ago and this week i have experienced pain in the same tooth, its not a tooth ache it just hurts when i bite down on things and it seems to be right in my gum at the top of my mouth does anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be, the filling is not cracked or chipped or anything.

without looking the only thing i can come up with is that the tooth is cracked. Which usually results in a tinge or sharp pain on biting. It may be that a piece of tooth or filling (under the gum where you can't see it ) has broken loose but wedged in, it poking you in the gum when you bite. This definately requires a trip to your dentist. the tiniest thing can cause a good deal of pain when it is in your mouth.
