For quite some time now, maybe over a month, the left side of my throat has been sore, sometimes worse than others. My left nostral is congested more than my right one is at all times, and when I open my mouth I can see a string of mucus or saliva attatched to the little punchy bag thing and the back of my tongue.

Try taking a good antihistamine like Zyrtec (prescription) and also take Mucinex in blue box. Mucinex helps thin mucous in the throat.
