Since I've been on my meds for my bipolar, I have totally lost my sex drive! I used to be crazy about sex, and now, my poor husband just jonzes! I feel so bad. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what medications help your sex drive, and what hinder it!?
Does anyone else have this problem with their meds!?

I had that problem before I got on the meds. My poor boyfriend went without for a little over 2 years.
I know that Prozac has a tendancy to make you like a nympho. It works like that for me & I've talked to many others who have said the same thing.

After I started Paxil, sex was not a part of my language and like you I used to crave sex constantly. My doctor switched me over to Wellbutrin and my feeling is back. I think about sex more than most guys that I know. lol I guess some would say I'm a nympho now but it's better than not wanting it at all.

Be careful with the Wellbutrin though. It makes me very agitated sometimes but I keep it because it's got more benefits than not. Weightloss, increased sex drive and smoking cessation are enough for me to hang on to it.

I was put on welbutrin for my bi polar and I lost my sex drive also. I went to my local sex shop and bought some pills that I could take to make me get in the mood. If you do this be sure to ask your doctor if you can take these pills with you medication. The pills are all natural. I can't remember the name of the but they are safe.

I too am bi-polar and have been on over 20 different drugs and endless combo.'s. The only antidep. that works for me and does not cause loss of sex drive is Wellbutrin. All of the SSRI's completely kill the whole sex thing, for mr at least. However, if you find one that works for u, I would look into a supplement or homeopathic way to ease the prob.
