I need some help, please.
My father, who has PD, has been taking the above mentioned medications for PD. He acknowledges he has a lot of the physical side effects that might be caused by the medications but he is also been very paranoid the last few years or so as well.
He is CONVINCED that he is being followed by individuals (or a group) of people all over the US. He thinks they're out to get him and perhaps, put him in jail, if possible. This is NOT a once a day thing. It's everywhere he goes, anytime he leaves the house.
My mother has tried and tried to reason and convince him these things are not happening but he will not listen. I have also had a very long talk with him about it and he gets very upset and angry that we don't believe him. This has been a tremendous strain on my Mom as she has to live with this every day, not to mention my Dad thinks this is reality.
I have tried to convince him that this medication is probably the cause of these problems and can be corrected if he just sees a doctor about it. He won't go to the doctor and even if he does he will not discuss w/ the doctor these problems as he's convinced he might be admitted to a mental hospital if he does.
My mother does not know what to do and I am out of state as well. Does ANYONE know of circumstances like this happening to them or others as well?? What can I do to convince him that he needs to speak to a doctor about this??
Any advice is much appreciated!

I do believe anxiety is endemic to PD (but I'm NOT a physician). What makes it paranoia rather than generalized anxiety? (Yes, I know it was answered in OP, but more info can't hurt, can it?)
Also.....is your father hearing impaired?
