Hey there,

Well I'm Phil, 17 and having a few probs with my teeth generally. I've noticed that some parts of my gums are receding and some of my teeth (including two front teeth) have became partially loose.

If I get a grip of one of my front teeth with my index finger and thumb, and move it back and forth; I can see it move slightly but not much.

What is the problem here? I've been to my dentist a few times (not about this particular matter) and they haven't brought this up?

Cheers.

You're very young to have loose teeth - are you sure all your 2nd teeth came in? If your dentist or oral hygienest hasn't noticed this and you have been going to them regularly, shame on them. You should find a peridontist and at least have it checked out - it could be due to pockets forming around the teeth either due to poor oral hygiene or hereditary factors. Flossing, using a proxy brush or a rubber tipped gum stimulator, even a water pik in between the teeth may help in the mean time.
