Well it turns out I am allergic to a lot of things. I had allergy testing on Thursday. The biggest reaction was Ragweed but I am also allergic to many other things like mold, Oak trees, Cats, Dogs, and Dust mites. So the allergist gave me a steroid eye drop which is working wonderfully and a steroid nasal spray and I also am going into have a CT scan on Monday because he thinks I have sinusitis. My biggest problems are with my right eye and allergies and he thinks I may have a problem with my sinuses that are making my right eye flare up like this. It gets super red. I have to say I am impressed with the allergist. I have had this problem before and all of the opthomologists I have gone to just look at my eye and try to diagnose me. This allergist is actually doing tests which is great. I had allergy testing and now the CT scan. I might actually be able to find out what has been going on with my right eye all of this time.

I've had the exact thing going on with me...
I`ve been at alot of eye doctors which couldn't why my right eye tends to get more allergies then my left( i thought it couldn't be as a result from allergies).
but after doing a ct( to check if i got something wrong with me, i also have pressure in forehead and around eyes) the ent said the ct was fine.
The allergiest said it's logical to have more severe reaction in the right eye.. but did not tell why.
so I don`t wanna bummer you but I think they won't find anything in particular and you can save yourself the carcinomatous radiation.
Btw: I was suffering from this problem like all my life, but did not do anything to take care of it cause i thought it's normal to suffer from such eye pain itchiness and burning, and now I just can't live without trying fixing my health to live as a normal painless person :)

Not to be argumentative but you don't know that they won't find anything just because they didn't with you. I've only had this problem for a few months not my whole life. So there has to be something going on in there that wasn't before. Also if you saw how red it gets it is not something that say if I did have my whole life that I would be able to live with. Even strangers would ask me what's wrong with your eye. Were not talking just red we are talking really really red.

That's great you are starting to get some answers. Now that you know what you are allergic to, you can reduce your exposure and hopefully that will help your eyes.

Well the CT scan showed a cyst on the right side of my sinuses the side where my eye problems are. I am taking antibiotics for another week and then using nasal spray. He says the nasal spray should keep me from forming another cyst. I also have those steroid eye drops but he said once the cyst is cleared up I shouldn't have to use them. I sure hope so that would be nice. I have to keep using the nasal spray long term though to prevent getting another cyst.

No I was having a chronic runny nose. I guess it can cause either a runny nose or nasal stuffiness according to the Mayo Clinic site.

I went to an Allergist. If you think you have allergies that's a good place to start. Either that or an ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) doctor. Just make sure to tell them you want one.
