Lupus is an auto immune disease, you should see a Rheumatologist. The way my insurance works is I would see my family Dr, then ask for a referral to see a specialist which would be the Rheumatologist. Then that Dr would do a history & tests to determine if you have Lupus. Hope this helps.

I was told 14 yrs ago that I had Lupus syndrome & not to worry too much now. The office gave me brochures on lupus at that time. I had many symptoms then (about 1/2 out of the list) & it did not show up on any lab test. So I put it on the back burner, but all these years it's been in the back of my mind.

As of 6 mo ago my Symptoms magnified & intensified greatly & I now test posative for Lupus. Also, I have had osteo for nearly 15 yrs...now I'm posative for Rheumatoid too.....just my luck!

She also has Celiac Disease (another autoimmune disorder)

Has been on the diet for almost a month now.
The facial rash started about 1 month ago and comes and goes but mostly stays and gets brighter in sun and when body temp increases.
Thanks again

Just got back from rheumatologist. She ordered some more BW I told her nicole's symptoms and she also ordered an ANA and some liver tests and BUN and sed rate. I don't know what else. But she is very thourough and very nice. We follow up in 4 months and she is seeing a eye dr there in october for squinting and the sun thing. And said she may have arthritis.

I emailed the rheumatologist and aked the other day if the tests were back she said some have come back and they were normal but said she was still waiting on some regarding the fevers, She didn't mention what ones. How long does it take to get back the ANA. When we wrote it was 2 days later. I don't know if that is what is a longer test. Hopefully she will have it tomorrow. She said she will email if everything is fine and call if it wasn't.
When I know Ill let you know.
